Home Repair Team

Fellowship Home Repair Team
The Home Repair Team is a group of Fellowship members who donate their time to do minor home repairs and yard work projects for single moms, people with disabilities and/or the elderly. We serve folks from our own church body and also people our church has connected with through our outreach programs that cannot afford to pay to have the work done.
Commitment:
Most of the work is done the 3rd Saturday of every month (except Jan, June, July, August, Dec) from 9:00am - 1:00pm. However, if your schedule is not open on Saturdays, we can schedule small projects during the week.
During the summer months, we participate in Habitat for Humanity and Operation Backyard.
There is a short meeting the 1st Sunday of every month after the 2nd service to discuss that month’s projects.
What skills do I need?
Most jobs are “general handyperson” type - fixing doors, locks, windows, leaking sink/toilet, minor painting, minor floor repair, etc. or minor yard work such as cleaning gutters, trimming bushes, mulching, etc. We do have some jobs that require skills in tree/limb removal, minor roof repair, and sometimes fairly skilled electrical, plumbing or HVAC work.
