KICKO is taking the life changing message of Jesus Christ to the children living in Knoxville’s low income housing units. Their goal is to “change the inner city one child at a time.”
Volunteer Opportunity #1:
Sidewalk Sonday School is an after school program for Knoxville’s inner city children and their families including worship, bible study, games, snacks, etc. Please visit their website for a list of locations and times.
Commitment Level:
2 hours a week for 13 weeks.
Volunteer Opportunity #2:
Build relationships with the Junior Staff who help with the Sidewalk Sonday School program at their site. These are middle and high school age kids who have outgrown the Sidewalk Sonday School program but still desire to be connected. KICKO hosts a Junior Staff event each month, sometimes just hanging out or going on field trips and other times providing intentional discipleship. KICKO is also looking for worship leaders to lead worship for these events.
Commitment Level:
Once or twice a month, normally on Saturdays.
